No No No NO

Okay, sorry for the confusion. This is an art blog I started back when I coded all my sites and didn't use blogging software.

I now use http://www.artbyaudiogirl.blogspot.com/ as my main blog, and don't ever update this one.

Additionally, all my updated sites and projects can be found at right.

Oh, and if you happen to stumble upon audiogirl at blogspot and think that's me?
It's not. I'm not that much of a riot grrrrl :)

I don't have much spare time to do illustration fridays, and to be honest the topics were starting to bore me.

But I will check back every now and then.

Depth

this illustration, done in watercolor, ink, and oil pastel, is based on a concept from men are from mars, women are from venus. the concept is that women, after a period of intense giving or energy levels radiating at their highest, sometimes have to descend into their well, and need to stay there for awhile, until they are filled up again. this week, what with personal stuff, and also news/media/world stuff, as well as being sick as a dog, i am definitely in the well. but,i like my well. it's warm and dim and dry and mossy, and resonates with a kind of peace. i'm down here for awhile longer i think, though i am getting kind of restless, feeling like i'm not doing anything "constructive"... i need this time, for now.

My life dream- one of them - is to see the underneath of the ocean. To swim with a whale. To see a great white shark up close. Today, my boss had a video clip of a 20-foot great white shark that swam around their boat on a fishing trip last week. I re-vowed to myself to see that one day.

He thinks i'm nuts. oh well.

Reflection Painting

Here is the reflection that i left at home, which was my real reflection thing. It's about how my cat will never look at herself in the mirror. I have several theories about this. One is that she's a vampire. two is that she, for whatever reason, cannot see reflective surfaces. Three is that she is filled with self-loathing, and that is why she over compensates by being such a bad ass to other cats.
